Mile End - Newton Abbot

We have prepared the masterplan for an urban extension to Newton Abbot of 450 houses together with a Local Centre. Topographical, environmental and ecological constraints have created the development envelope. Steep slopes, mature trees and hedgerows, balancing ponds add to the richness of the layout and the detailed design of the houses. The practice drew up the masterplan for the proposed development providing generic codes and a regulatory plan that established the disposition and form of development, access, links and a mix of uses. A country park, public art initiatives and a new western entrance to the town are all part of the proposals.
